A Continuous Freezing Solution That Saves Space and Never Breaks Down

Food processing plants dread two things most: first, equipment that takes up too much floor space and can’t fit into the workshop; second, equipment that keeps breaking down and requires frequent repairs.

If you are looking for a continuous freezing machines for chicken pieces, ice cream, prepared foods, or similar products, with a capacity requirement between 500 kg/h and 5,000 kg/h – then this spiral freezer is worth 3 minutes of your attention.

Advantage 1: Space-Saving – Vertical Spiral Folds the “Long Dragon”

Traditional tunnel freezers rely on the horizontal straight-line movement of products on a mesh belt to complete freezing. A capacity of 2 t/h often requires 30–40 m² of floor space.

How does a spiral freezer save space? The principle is simple – fold the horizontal length into vertical height. Products enter the spiral mesh belt and are frozen while moving upward or downward along the spiral tower. The horizontal footprint is approximately the square of the tower’s diameter. For the same throughput, the footprint is only 1/3 to 1/5 that of a tunnel freezer.

How is this achieved in detail?

  • Vertical spiral structure: transforms the freezing path from “horizontal extension” to “vertical circulation”, making three-dimensional use of space

  • Precise parameter matching: tower diameter and number of layers are customised for different products – small particles use small diameters (2 m) + more layers (10–15); large pieces use larger diameters (2–3 m) + moderate layers 

  • Multi-layer drive mode: no tensioning device required; a single spiral allows low-in and low-out, saving even more space

  • Modular customisation: the tower consists of standard sections, allowing the number of layers to be adjusted according to ceiling height; diameter can also be tailored to fit narrow or irregular workshops

Advantage 2: Stable Structure – Rail-Supported Belt, No Deviation, No Turnover

What is the biggest fear for a freezer? Belt turnover. Once the mesh belt deviates, folds, or turns over during operation, the entire production line has to stop. The loss is not just a few minutes of output, but also the quality and delivery time of an entire batch.

How does this spiral freezer fundamentally solve belt deviation and turnover? The key lies in the dual guarantee of “rail-supported guidance” and “precision belt interlocking”.

① Rail-supported structure – the belt “follows a fixed track”
Traditional spiral freezers mostly rely on drum friction drive. The belt is prone to deviation due to uneven tension, uneven product loading, etc., and the risk of turnover increases significantly after long-term operation.
This equipment adopts a rail-supported structure, with precision guide rails installed at each level of the spiral tower, on which the belt runs smoothly:

  • Full-range guidance: rails guide both sides of the belt throughout its travel, physically constraining the running path and effectively preventing deviation accumulation

  • No tensioning device needed: the rail support itself ensures smooth belt movement, eliminating the need for an additional tensioning device and reducing mechanical failure points

  • Smoother operation: eliminates belt vibration caused by tension fluctuations, especially suitable for high-capacity, long-duration continuous operation
    Simply put: traditional equipment lets the belt run “in the air”; ours lets it run “on rails” – with a track to follow, it naturally won’t go astray.


② Precision belt interlocking – every section “locks tightly”
With rail guidance, longitudinal deviation is resolved; but to eliminate turnover, the belt’s own structural strength is equally critical.
The belt of this equipment adopts a specially designed interlocking structure:

  • Adjacent belt units are tightly engaged via high-strength fasteners, forming a flat, continuous, rigid whole

  • The interlocking points are precision-stamped, with minimal clearance and uniform load bearing, making them resistant to disengagement or deformation during spiral lifting and turning

  • Together with rail support, the belt surface remains flat even in turning sections, structurally preventing any possibility of belt turnover


③ Multiple guarantees for more economical operation

  • Extended belt service life: deviation and turnover are major causes of belt wear. Rail support + precision interlocking drastically reduce abnormal wear, significantly extending replacement intervals

  • Lower installed power consumption: rolling friction on rails has much lower resistance than drum friction drive; combined with the absence of a tensioning device, overall power consumption is reduced

  • Fewer unplanned stops: a stable structure means lower failure rates, ensuring more reliable continuous production

In a nutshell: rails “control the direction”, fasteners “secure the connection” – with both in place, the belt never deviates or turns over, and production never stops.
